I wouldn’t normally do something like this, but recent events have left me no choice. 

I’m 18 and I need to leave my home immediately. 

I’m asking that anyone who can, PLEASE HELP. 

Here’s the story.

A month ago, my mom’s live-in boyfriend sexually assaulted me. I don’t want to get into details about what happened because I’m still processing it myself.
When I told my mother, she called me a liar. We got into a fight that turn physical and I left to stay with a friend for a few days. After which she let me come home.
She told me she believed me, but made sure to let me know that it wasn’t entirely his fault. Apparently he admitted, but said that I had been tempting him for a long time and since he was drunk he finally gave in.
I was disgusted.
But I thought I could get past it, because she had made him move out and even though she was blaming me, I had no where else to go.

Yesterday he moved back in.

We all sat down and he apologized and said that he knows he has a drinking problem and he’s working on it. 
I don’t believe him.
And now I know I can no longer live here. 

None of my friends parents want to get in the middle of it and neither does my extended family. So I have no where to go. 

I found a studio apartment that I can move into, but I don’t have enough for the rent and the security deposit right now and on top of that I need to get my car fixed in order not have to rely on my mom for transportation to and from school and work. (I go to community college and work at a restaurant.)

Right now I need a total of $800 to take care of everything. 

PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. 

Help me if you can.

Hey guys, I have a HUGE favor to ask. There is a video contest going on where if these cats, Vuvu and Zela, win, my animal shelter will get $5000.

I have been volunteering at the Clifton Animal Shelter for four years. I walk dogs, clean out cat and dog pens, do laundry drop off and pick up, and my apartment has been a foster home for dozens of animals through the years. It has been one of the GREATEST things I have ever done, and several animal members of my family come from that shelter. I have met some AMAZING people there, all of whom care deeply for animals, and who go the extra mile to see that EVERY pet gets a fair chance, even when other city shelters would not bother

Just to give an example, this guy has been in my apartment with his brother for two and a half weeks. He was hissing and cowering and did not like people at all. But my shelter wanted to give him a chance, so they gave him to me to try and rehabilitate him. Progress is slow but he is starting to come around, and we are planning on putting him up for adoption as soon as he is ready!

This shelter is so important to me, and has helped so many animals (and people too!!) If you could take some time to vote and pass this on I would be SO grateful! Votes can be cast once a day!
